Feasibility study: Green Digital Twin in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern

Feasibility study:
Green Digital Twin
in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern 🌱💻

Sustainable digital twins for real estate 🏢♻️

As part of an innovative feasibility study, the concept for sustainable „digital twins“ of properties is being developed in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The aim is to use state-of-the-art technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and data visualization to enable the sustainable and efficient management of properties. 🌍💡

Project goals and content 🎯

The study focuses on the development of a consistent, integrated approach for the entire life cycle of real estate – from planning and construction through to operation and facility management. The focus is on improving sustainability and conserving resources across all phases. 🌱

Key technologies and topics:

  • Data provision 📊: Collection, collation and linking of data
  • Data analysis 🔍: Using AI to optimize resource savings
  • Action planning & implementation 🛠️: Development and implementation of sustainable optimization measures
  • Monitoring and benchmarking 📈: Ongoing documentation of the current status and continuous improvement

Funding and partners 🤝

The feasibility study is funded by the Ministry of Economics, Infrastructure, Tourism and Labor of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and carried out in cooperation with the following partners:

Two-phase project: feasibility study and subsequent research 🔄

The project is divided into two phases:

  1. Feasibility study 📝: An initial analysis that assesses the potential and cost of the planned solution. The aim is to evaluate the feasibility and benefits of sustainable digital twins.
  2. Research and development 🔬: Based on the feasibility study, a further research and development project will be launched.

Results of the feasibility study 📊

The feasibility study provides valuable insights and concrete recommendations:

  • Market study 📅: Potential analysis of the Green Digital Twin platform as a future product
  • Benefit assessment 💡: Evaluation of the solution based on specific properties at Wismar University of Applied Sciences and the University of Rostock
  • Research concept 🧠: Development of a concept for a further research project
  • Recommendations for facility management and energy management 💡: Sustainable solutions for the state administration of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern

Planned procedure 🛤️

The feasibility study focuses on the state properties of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The project partners are working closely together to evaluate the benefits of the solution based on specific properties at Wismar University of Applied Sciences and the University of Rostock. This project supports the state’s „blu“ concept, which focuses on sustainability and innovation. 🌱🔧

Why is this important? 🤔

The development of sustainable digital twins is a decisive step towards making real estate management in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern fit for the future. By integrating new technologies such as AI, data analysis and sustainable facility management, not only can costs be reduced, but valuable resources can also be saved. This makes an important contribution to achieving climate targets and promoting a green economy in the region. 🌍💚 Do you have any questions?
